Thanks for all your positive feedback! We're already working hard on v1.1, which features some smaller enhancements. We'll be incorporating the new formats suggested (35mm, 16mm) as well as enhanced sorting and if it makes it in time - the possibility to lend movies to friends. Shortly we'll be setting up a poll in order to see the most requested features.

As I do have over 1000 DVDs, how many bytes this would take on the iphone? (Well, I suppose the data is save locally, and the internet connection is only needed to insert the data)

BTW: Maybe you guys could joint venture with http://www.invelos.com/ who have a fabulous database of user generated Film data - and they still don't have an iphone application (although they do have a windows mobile application)

Not yet installed, but from the features list, what I miss the most is the possibility to get my DVDs in a simple alphabetical [title, year] list(*), which I can flick across (same method like the address book) for a quick check up in the store if I already have bought a specific DVD. Although it looks nice to have those neat little DVD Graphics, there are just only 9 on a page, so list could be helpful in some cases.

(*) maybe definable which fields one like to have in the list, so one can see the title and flicking up and down the list, flicking to the left, you'll see more details on the line.

Hello, great application but is it possible to add 35mm and 16mm to the format list ? I collect movies on these formats and it would be very nice to list the movies in their original format.

Bravo for the eye candy similar to DL for Mac, but your app falls short in at least one important area, sorting:
How about by director? by time, by year.
