After working for quite some time on the new Movies release, w're pleased Apple has pushed the approval process to its limits and approved Movies in less then 8 hours after initial submission - thank you Apple!
Movies 2 contains a lot of cool new features:
- Fullscreen CoverFlow (improved performance, new detailview)
- Improved barcode engine (live scanner)
- Filter tab to filter on media type, lend-to and genre
- Multiple data sources (including UK, Germany, Japan, ...)
- Cover-on-the-web - to seek for covert art through Google Images
- Classic black and classic white themes
- Option to clear whole database (prior to e.g. restoring)

As you can see, the list is quite long - and we have more features planned for next updates (TeaserView being one of the big ones). If you have suggestions too, you're always welcome to share them with us (either by adding a comment to this post, writing something in our support forum or mailing us).

Enhancements
Wrote an email a little over a month ago with these ideas for enhancements.
Enhancements:
- Save search: While using the Title search. I own the entire Friends set. I can do a search and all 10 seasons show up. But after I add one, I have to re-enter the search again to enter the next item. My suggestion is that you save the previous search request and refresh it in memory when a new search is requested.
- Add multiple search items: Also along the same lines. I had all 10 seasons showing on my screen, but could only select one at a time to add. Add a feature to mark several of these items and add them all at once
- Add Barcode/ASIN number to the item info. I may own two versions of the same product... or may want to see if I already have a certain version of an item when shopping. Having this number available to me would allow me to know exactly what item I have. Pre-filling it from a search-and-add would also be ideal for adding to the wishlist.
- Ability to search saved items by the Barcode/ASIN number(requires previous enhancement)
- ASIN Search online - Quickest way to pull up and save the exact item you would like to save without having to browse thru each item. Essential for additions to my wish list as I'm quite particular as to which version of the product I am wanting to buy.
