Birthday Reminder 1.1.1 is submitted to the App Store a few days ago and is ready to push birthday reminders to your iPhone OS 3.0!
As we promised during the initial launch of Birthday Reminder - the one and only app in the App Store which reminds you in a proactive way about upcoming birthdays - Birthday Reminder is ready to notify you of upcoming birthdays through the new Push Mechanism available in iPhone OS 3.0.
So, as soon as the Apple elves release are newest version, you will be able to configure Birthday Reminder to send out push notifications (like the one shown in the screenshot below).
As always: comments, enhancements and even bug reports are always welcome!

I always forget birthdays. And really need this t help me. I have tried a couple but am desperate for something that proactively sends me a mail and a notification.
BUT!!!
One is NOT enough. I need t space it out to be aware of an upcoming birthday in order t plan a present etc. as well as a reminder that i need to do that, and on the day, well a push notification that takes me directly to an a sms or a call.
Just one notification is not enough...

Push version does not work
Hi. I downloaded new version and it was complete waste of money for me. Push option did not appear in iPhone settings menu. Push option inside application does nothing - you switch it on, no push anyway. Waste of my money and time so far. Any comments from developers? Did you test it in real life?
Push in 1.1.2
As written in our App Store description, due to late minute changes in the push API by Apple, push notifications are not working in 1.1.1. We have a fix sent to Apple 1 week ago (1.1.2) which DOES work with Push Notifications. Please be patient for any App Store updates.

One more question : Will it be possible to configure a badge notification showing how many birthdays there are for the present day (or the upcoming X days) ??
That is a feature I would really appreciate, and I think I am not th only one expecting this.

That's something which is on our featurelist for a while. We plan to add it in our 1.2 release (which will contain the possibility to add custom birthdays too).
